Week 8 – Breakthrough

Every now and then I find I need to step back from making constantly and actually think about what I am actually doing, and what it is that I would like to achieve. After experimenting with different shapes within my work, these reminded me of the blister packets for medication, yet another coping mechanism for mental health problems.

I have been questioning what is integral to my practice, and if something was taken away where would that leave me? The most important part to my work is repetition, something which has lacked in my most recent experiments. So I have used this week to think about why, and how this can be changed.
